Unseen Journeys of the Solana Heroes featuring @Solana_King
I am Santa.sol and I had a pleasure of chatting with @solana_king who’s as much a part of the Solana cosmos as the stars themselves. He’s a crypto explorer who started his journey with Dogecoin, found his niche in Solana with the SMB mint, and has been riding the thrilling Solana waves ever since. From minting SMB at the peak of its glory to navigating his way through a sea of regrets, he’s seen it all.
So, buckle up as we dive into his incredible journey of wins, lessons, and everything in between.
Santa: Thanks so much for being my first guest! Let’s get started. How did you get into this space? What made you stick around?
Solana King: I got into the crypto space in 2021 with Dogecoin. I got into the Solana space with a friend telling me about Solana and the SMB mint. Luckily I minted that and it was my first NFT and it showed me the value of community. What got me interested was the money to be made, but once the money left in the Bull Run, what got me to stay was the community.

S: What’s your proudest win?
SK: Minting 2 SMB and selling one of them at 242 sol (when SOL was well above $200)
S: Biggest facepalm moment or regret?
SK: I bought pesky penguins with all of my proudest win money when it was at 9 SOL and then I sold that at like 5 sol 😂 I didn’t switch anything to USD which has been my biggest regret. I also sold Okay Bears at 12 Sol and then watched it ride up to 200+ sol. I also missed DeGods. That’s a regret too. It’s hard to pick a top regret 😆 I’ve made a lot of mistakes, but I’m still here.

S: What’s the most exciting thing [in crypto and beyond] right now? Spill the tea
SK: I’m a big sports fan. I’d say the most exciting thing for me in web3 for me are tickets and digital collectibles on chain. I think that is the future for NFTs. So I’m excited about Tick3ttree. I was also a big Pokémon go player back in the day. For that reason, I get excited about Nokiamon, as what they are doing is truly fun and they are building a Pokémon type of game that I think will do well. I’m excited for it in the coming months and years.
S: What are you building? Why does it matter to you?
SK: I’m building a community called The Art Enjoyers. There are 130 art enjoyer NFTs. Each piece is inspired by an IRL famous painting. It matters to me because I’m the founder and it’s the project I wanted to start to be a home in Web3 where people can come daily that they can call their home, where they can get alpha and where they can support artists.
S: As you look ahead, what personal goals are you chasing?
SK: My goal is to get 5k sol liquid before the Bull starts. I’m not that close tho, but still trying to get there 😂
Rapid fire:
I’m bullish on: Web3 experiences and Events
I’m bearish on: Staking and Art upgrades
