Today, I am thrilled to bring you a captivating interview with an early adopter and relentless innovator, who hopped from being a crypto investor to becoming a full-time Web3 professional. Moreover, he is an avid believer in .SOLs. Say hi to 609.sol!

🎅: Hello 609.sol! I’m excited to hear your story & about what you’re building! So, tell us how did you get into this space? What made you stick around?

609.sol: I was an early crypto investor; mainly BTC and ETH. One of the BTC analysts I consistently watched on YouTube kept mentioning NFTs, so I decided to check them out. Over the years I ended up investing all of my crypto into NFTs throughout the bull of late 2021 and early 2022 (yikes).

I stuck around because I found the space to be interesting, agile and lucrative. Obviously the lucrative opportunities are tougher to find now, but they still exist. I left my Web2 job as a Product Manager for a healthcare startup to go full time Web3 as a Product Manager at Forkast Labs (formerly CryptoSlam) in early 2022. I maintain the notion that those who are currently building the infrastructure for Web3, are those who will come out on top in the next bull run and tech adoption wave.

🎅: What’s your proudest win?

609: Probably flipping a rare deadfella for around 20K in the bull market of 2021.

🎅: Biggest ‘facepalm’ moment or regret?

609: My Cool Cat I paid about $45K USD for is now worth $1200.

🎅: What’s the most exciting thing [in crypto or beyond] right now? Spill the tea.

609: DeFi opportunities on Solana.

🎅: What are you building? Why does it matter to you?

609:

1. My full time job working for Forkast Labs - building NFT products for degens at Forkast Labs and CryptoSlam! I care about the success of the company and Web3 as a whole. Working for the industry leader in chain-agnostic NFT data is amazing.

2. I am working with the SolarMoon team to bring more utility to their community. SolarMoon is the first deflationary token using the token-2022 protocol. I care about adoption of new standards on Solana.

3. I am a contributor for ANS Protocol / AllDomains. Working towards cross-chain domains and custom TLDs for any project to claim and distribute. Again, new technology adoption.

4. I am managing a Web2 company I started called The Pare Movement. I’ve always been an entrepreneur. This is my way of continuing that dream and having my own business.

5. Full time degen. NFT trader and memecoin enthusiast.

   Generational wealth, obviously.

🎅: As you look ahead, what personal goals are you chasing?

609: I would like to continue my profession as a Product Manager and be known as an early adopter and leader in the Web3 space. Pioneer new tech through the connections and media I have access to.
